What is SAMReN?

The South Asia Migration Resource Network (SAMReN) is a Network of academics, researchers, activists, government and non-governmental organisations working on migration issues in South Asia. This Network is the source of information for policy makers and researchers, as well as of aspirant migrants. Initially it is a two-year project supported by the DFID, UK. The Secretariat of this Network is located at RMMRU, Bangladesh. Its activities include an interactive website that provides information on migration experiences of India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, offering research grants, and training to young researchers, journalists and government officials on migration.
