This study was conducted on 200 returnee male migrants in 2000. They were randomly selected from the districts of Dhaka, Comilla, Chittagong and Madaripur.

 

Siddiqui, Tasneem and C R Abrar, 2003, ‘Migrant Workers’ Remittances and Micro finance in Bangladesh’, ILO Working Paper, ILO, Geneva. This study was conducted on 100 remittance receiving households in Tangail and Chittagong, and 20 remittance sending persons in Ajman and Dubai of UAE. The study was conducted in 2001.
